Depends on how one defines "same chip" - the M9 has heavier built-in IR filtering, which makes its response different from either an M8 without, or an M8 with, external IR filters. Also Kodak and Leica both said the red filtering in the Bayer array was tweaked for the M9. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
