Coach Posted August 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi folks, I would report some problems when making backups on iPad with the camera connexion kit : If you insert an SD card with few pict on it in the same format ( Jpeg) and choosing import all it's OK but ... if you have recorded in DNG and Jpg, => Problem, the app quits almost instantly. You re-insert the card you can see the few previous imported files checked, select the others and choose import selected files ... Crash Again ! so the backup is tedious, importing files almost separately. The DNG files alone didn't display correctly on the screen, so no control is possible, you have to record in DNG+ JPeg to get an acceptable viewing on screen. Fortunately I have a second device for backup ( hyperdrive wich works fines in all situations) I had some problem in importing the same way a mix of raw files and videos from the DL4 camera. I will report these problems to Apple, hoping for a solution, maybe some of you had experienced same difficulty ? regards Gerard

sabrewolf Posted August 22, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 22, 2010 Its better to restart the Ipad before transferring photos into it. Sometimes it gets quirky due to low memory if you have been using it for a while. DNG preview in Ipad is low res only, DNG+Jpeg will result the ipad loading the Jpeg and ignoring the DNG.
