3rdtrick Posted August 20, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Actually I know, my lens was fogged but I would have gone shooting all night like that if I had not chimped my display. That was a sure a surprise after coming from SLR and DSLR shooting as my rangefinder window was perfectly clear. Is this common? How do you film shooters prevent it??? redbaron Posted August 20, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 20, 2010 Don't shoot through a fogged lens.
Rusted Chrome Posted August 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 21, 2010 Going from AC to humid outside is going to make this happen. Some times it can come out pretty neat looking. The only cure is to let your camera warm up to the outside temps before shooting. Also that place looks very familiar. 3rdtrick Posted August 31, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2010 RC, at first, I thought you were a Wiz at Photoshop... Someone on another forum explained to me that it was an "Artistic Feature" Pete
andybarton Posted September 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2010 You probably removed the condensation from your rangefinder window without even knowing it. Any glasses wearer will tell you that this is a common problem - in the UK it happens when you go INTO a building, not out of it.
SJP Posted September 1, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 1, 2010 another example here http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/landscape-travel/136306-dubai-interesting-side-effect-airconditioning.html#post1418902 one reason for this is that I recently turned off auto preview so I didn't notice at the time. 3rdtrick Posted September 1, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted September 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have had it happen many times before but with the SLR/DSLR I caught it right away. Got caught off guard with the Rangefinder. One lost pic because of the Rangefinder... But then my DSLR probably would have been sitting in my truck and no pics at all...
