arthury Posted January 6, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted January 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like if you set it to DNG in the Picture Menu, you are not allowed to set Sharpening to Low in the Main Menu. Â But, if you reset the Main Menu, the Picture Menu is also reset to UserProfile-0, which has FineJPG. Â Somehow, they are mutally exclusive. Â Am I reading the manual correctly? arthury Posted January 6, 2007 Author Share #3  Posted January 6, 2007 Sharpening, contrast, saturation settings do not apply to DNG files. _mike   OK, that made sense. Does it apply to ColorSpace as well? Thanks, Mike!
steve_l Posted January 6, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted January 6, 2007 it should apply to colorspace also. Â note that if you set DNG+JPEG, you can set all of those parameters, but they only apply to the JPEG, of course. Â In most cameras, the JPEG settings are also used in the display of the LCD preview, thus affecting the histogram...I don't know if that is also true of the M8, a quick test should tell you (I don't get mine for another week or two).
