My dealer offered me this morning a new Konica M-Hexanon dual lens 21-35 mm F3,4-4,

KM mount type usable with advantage on the M8. His argumentation was, that this lens will be as good as the Tri-Elmar respectively better.

As I had no knowledge of this lens till today so I woud be glad to get some meanings or recommendations of yours.

Thanks for your answers.

Paul

Paul,

I use this lens most of the time. It is a great lens on the M8. My personal recommendation is to go for it, depending on the price of course. I also have a TRI-ELMAR and the dual is on the camera far more largely because of the 21mm 3.4 (28mm on the M8).

Hi Paul,

I just joined this forum... have you bought the hexanon 21-35 lens finally? I'm very interested to get one as well so would like to hear if I could contact the shop directly if you haven't bought it yet. Many thanks for your help in advance... :)

Have a great week,

Kenny.

Which frames does the 21-35 triggers on the M8? I imagine that you would need a 28mm viewfinder for when the lens is set to 21. Does the 35 triggers the proper frame?

Thanks, Giulio

Giulio,

It does trigger the 35mm frame-line and you do need a 28mm viewfinder. It does come with a beautiful 21/35 viewfinder for use with a film M or of course the Hexar RF.... I simply use the full viewfinder of the M8 - which is close enough for most purposes.

Cheers. Terry.
