loretdem Posted January 5, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted January 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Not strictly a "digital" question but this is such a popular forum I thought best to ask here (and I'll be using it on my DMR9 so there you go). Can anyone tell me what is the difference if any between the Apo-Extender-R 2x number 11262 and 11269? TIA -Carlos

robsteve Posted January 5, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 5, 2007 I think the difference between 11262 and 11269 is 7 Â The APO 2x was available with and without ROM. One of them is ROM, probably the 11269. There was also a non APO 2x extender. Â Check the Leica R line PDF available on the Leica web site to confirm. Â Dusting off some old product liturature I see that the non-ROM APO-Extender-R is 11262 so it seems that Rob's hunch is correct. There were actually two non-APO 2x extenders, optically identical. One was for R bodies offering auto-diaphragm and metering pass-through, and one for the SL and SL2 with no auto-diaphragm or metering pass-through whatsoever. The R version of this extender is 11236.
