brucek Posted August 2, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 2, 2010 Your flash could be turned off. Pop the little bugger up and then press the flash button (lightning icon) below and to the right of the metering mode switch. The very last selection in the list is Flash Off. Try a different selection to see if that helps. Also, depending upon the flash mode, I believe it may not fire if there's too much ambient light. Bruce - I think you are maybe talking about the D2 (Digilux 2). Robojock - I did have a similar problem when the <open> slide switch on the top left failed to work. On closer inspection I had acquired some crud into the slide switch which prevented it from moving.
MPerson Posted August 3, 2010 Share #6 Posted August 3, 2010 Actually I am now confused - are we talking about the Digilux 2 or the D-Lux 2?
robojock Posted August 3, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted August 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) D-lux2, ie same as panny lx1. I've tried most things just wondered if anyone had come across the same issue. I'll give it a good clean but it's pretty clean any way. It still pops up, just doesn't work and still has the flash off symbol even if I try the software setting to switch on to auto, still takes good daylight pics though:)
