Hi all,

This is only my 2nd day with the camera ... so bear with me.

I also noticed that in indoor incandescent lighting at night, the center-weighted meter seems to overexpose quite often. For example, the highlights on the face of my posted sample was adjusted in PS quite a bit in ACR.

Is that your experience or am I doing something obviously wrong? I am not tempted to set my EV biased to -1/3 for safety sake.

If the sensors for exposure are not as IR sensitive as the main sensor, what you say is right - exp will think less light than there OR the red sensor will get boosted by the IR component and thus seem to overexpose on the main sensor.

interior incandescent (with more red and IR) will even have greater difference (2800 vs 5500 K)

This is another advantage of the filters, keeps both expand main sensor together inEV
