How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Hi David! Now that you say it - absolutely, yes. I took and edited that image a few years back without thinking after, now I would probably crop it, even down to 3:4, right away. This also positions Zura, the smoker, in a better position. Thank you!

I rewiewed my Leica-Fotopark portfolio and reminded that it contains only X1-Images. I did not post here for a long time, and instead of uploading the images here I hope it is OK to share the fotopark link here. I hope that many X1 users share the idea that many things are possible with the X1, and that you sometimes should be somehow happy to not have enough money to get one of those cameras that would be so great to own. The day will come to be able to afford better equipment and from then all my X1 work will stand as the results from a time being forced to work with this camera. Being forced to use "weak" equipment will lead to interesting results.

My X1 time is about to begin for a second time now, as I will get my X1 back, that I had to left damaged for a year.

think about to replace my X1 for a new X-E. I was always very satisfied with my X1 and i took more good pictures with the X1 than with my M240.

Sometimes i would like to have a better AF und i also have a viewfinder (olympus) which could be very useful in some situations.

Is the image quality of the X1 really better than the X-E or X2 ... i can't believe it ?

I would expect the image quality to be different, but not better. Even if it's better with the X1 you might be able to find your style in processing the DNGs of the X2. Maybe you will have an advantage on the other hand with the higher resolution of the X2. The AF will make the difference, I think. I would change my X1 to a X2 without hesitating and just try.

Hi,

I'm a new owner of a Leica X1, I've had it for just over a week (and 1400 shots!) and I love it! I needed a replacement for a Sigma, and this camera is simply amazing.

I read all the reviews before purchasing, and all about the slow focusing, but I must say with the firmware update I find it fine. If I can get a clean shot of my springer spaniel, then the Auto Focus is definitely fast enough! The sensor will need a clean at some point as I have a speck of dust that shows up in some shots, otherwise the camera is in pristine condition.
