JeffWright Posted January 2, 2007 Share #1  Posted January 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm in contact with a couple of manufacturers for camera L-plates to make one of these for the R8/R9 and DMR. If you're interested, and seriously enough to commit any front end money, please let me know. I don't check in much here, but you can email me here or through my web site.  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read about them here: http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/tutorials/L_plates/index.html  Thanks!  Jeff Wright

I am using the RRS generic L bracket and it leaves (a lot) to be desired. I would pay up to $200 for a real version.  Woody Spedden
Jamie Roberts Posted January 5, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted January 5, 2007 Yeah, I'd "like" an L plate for the DMR, though I find I don't use them as much as just the regular RRS flat plate. Â I had the custom RRS L for the Canon 1ds2, I really never used the "L" shape very much, but from time to time it was handy. Â Their (excellent) flash bracket mounts on the bottom flat plate too; and I have a RRS ball head on my Gitzo, so the need for an L plate has become minimal since the ballhead itself drops vertically very well and quickly too (not that I need quick on the tripod much!). JeffWright Posted January 5, 2007 Author Share #6 Â Posted January 5, 2007 Great to see some interest....now I just need to get Really Right Stuff enthusiastic about it as well. They won't really commit unless they think they can sell a hundred....so, I need 89 more volunteers....
