dhoelscher Posted January 7, 2007 Share #101 Â Posted January 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) David, what's the problem? Is it that hood will not fit over the filter ring or that you cannot push the hood on far enough for the claws to engage with the filter slot. ... Â The latter .... I can't get the hood on far enough to anywhere near engage the claws ... Â DH
Advertisement Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Hi dhoelscher, Take a look here New Band is Firmware Bug. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted January 7, 2007 Share #102 Â Posted January 7, 2007 Try loosening the filter slightly and then slide on the hood. The hoods are a very tight fit and sometimes the filter hits a ridge in the hood it can't get by. I have the 24mm and I can mount the hood on it when a 486 filter is fitted. It can take a little wiggling to get the hood on the lase one or two mm for the latch to engage.

gravastar Posted January 7, 2007 Share #104  Posted January 7, 2007 The latter .... I can't get the hood on far enough to anywhere near engage the claws ... DH I have the same problem. The hoods for the 21 and 24mm are the same but one of them will not fit on a lens with a B+W UVa MRC F-pro filter mounted. I was going to send it to Leica UK service but have never got around to doing so.  Bob.
reprobit Posted January 7, 2007 Share #105 Â Posted January 7, 2007 Hello Sean, Â I got the second M8 now. The first was shipped before the revision, the second is new. Both cameras show overexposures after a longtime exposure in automatic mode. This happens unpreidictable and occurs about every tenth trial. Â Do you or anybody else has the same effect?
