ho_co Posted January 2, 2007 Share #2  Posted January 2, 2007 Olof-- The link doesn't work; doesn't seem to have been parsed properly by the forum software.   Possibly unrelated, but I found this in trying to uncover the page you mentioned: Leica and Rangefinders Forum: OT: Ebay camera auction fraud: you CAN do something  --HC

peterb Posted January 3, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted January 3, 2007 I think this is it. A 90mm no less. MAJOR govt. surplus (and possibly waste) if there ever was. bayerische Posted January 3, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted January 3, 2007 Looks like you need different "focus plates" to focus it. There are what looks like filter rings saying "Focused at 20m, focused at 100m". Yeah real easy to use:) Â But still it looks awsome!
ho_co Posted January 3, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted January 3, 2007 Gorgeous! Â Such a big front end that it would block the viewfinder. Â Probably heavy enough that a focus mount would bind, and since you couldn't see through the finder anyway, no need to couple it to the rangefinder; so using the focus rings sounds like a typically brilliant Leitz/Elcan/Leica solution. Â Wow! Thanks for alerting us to this! Just beautiful.
