Arielv13 Posted January 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all - The holiday spirits were REALLY kind to me this season. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, I was gifted with a Leica M8. Now I am heading off to Budapest to finish shooting a film, and of course I am going to take it along with me. My standard D200 (set work gear) is coming with me, as well as my new M8. Now to the point - I need a little help. First off, my IR filters for my 35mm 1.4 and my 90 Cron aren't going get here before I leave, so I was wondering whether or not there are any photoshop fixes for the Magenta cast challenge. I have found C1 solutions, but no Photoshop solutions. And does anyone have any advice as to camera shops in Budapest, where I might be able to score some Leica/rangefinder (Zeiss - 21mm or 25 mm) gear. And does anyone have any photo op ideas for me in Budapest. So far, I am Loving the new year. Thanks Arielv13

jrc Posted January 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2007 Tony Rose at Popflash Photo had a few IR filters the last time I checked (39,46 and maybe a 55) and he can overnight them to you. He's in the LA area. As for Budapest photo ops, go up to the castle and wander around; there's also a huge archaeological dig in an ancient Roman city (may be closed in the Winter) and lots of boat/restaurants along the river which are somewhat reminiscent of Paris... chrism Posted January 1, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 1, 2007 Ain't that great? Ariel joins up and within two hours has shooting recommendations, a source for IR filters and a local enabler all lined up! What a forum! Chris
