Guest stnami Posted January 1, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2007 ... that's more like it, a bit more visual depth of thinking, even the odd top left hand corner adds to the desolation and misadventure
jmr Posted January 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2007 Wilfredo, I supose it's not bad - for a first try Seriously though, I really like it.
stuny Posted January 1, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 1, 2007 Wilfredo - Fabulous light, tones, depth, details and a sense of mystery due to the groupings of cans repeated without human intervention, enhanced by the amorphous darker swatches in the upper left quadrant. wilfredo Posted January 1, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted January 1, 2007 Thank you all. I wasn't to sure about this one but I do like the natural forms in it playing against the trash bins turned over by the wind. There is a sense of solitary desolation here but also the presence of nature at work bringing even this chaos into harmony. I have other shots at the same location I still need to reveiw. I'd like to insert here a quote fom the Tao Te Ching. I'm a Christian man of the cloth with a Taoist heart (some of you may have already figured that out). Here it is: "The Tao is forever undefined. Small though it is in the unformed state, it cannot be grasped. If kings and Lords could harness it, The ten thousand things would naturally obey. Heaven and earth would come together And gentle rain fall... ....Tao in the world is like a river flowing home to the sea." When I look at this picture I sense the force of Tao in the Wind, in the patterns of the sand, in the tossing of the trash bins on their sides. Again thanks for the encouraging comments. beramos Posted January 3, 2007 Share #10 Posted January 3, 2007 Wilfredo, yo tambien veo la fuerza de Tao en el viento. Lo has conseguido. Superb shot!! Tu M8 te ha revitalizado fotográficamente
kld Posted January 5, 2007 Share #11 Posted January 5, 2007 Wilfredo, you composed the ingrediences light, perspective, sand patterns and the black tuns to a very appealing photo. Good work. -- Klaus
arminw Posted January 6, 2007 Share #12 Posted January 6, 2007 Wilfredo - this is another brilliant picture! Very striking and well framed , although I would have cut out the top left corner to make it more abstract and a picture based on the design elements textures and patterns. I think your new baby the M8 has found a good home and a man to look after it who has got the right eye.

wilfredo Posted January 22, 2008 Author Share #15 Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks for the Bravo. Ben, I think some of my soulful sadness often comes out in my photography. I was surprised to see this picture from a year ago resurrected on the forum. Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography
