What's the story on the lack of availability for D-Lux 3 Cases Leica #18669

I bought my Leica D-Lux 3 camera at the end of November. I've been trying to find the Leica brown leather formed case #18669 ever since. No one, here in the US, seem to be able to get any in to sell. I was wondering if anyone on this forum, has a believable, reason for the scarceness of these cases?

extremely high demand ? i ordered my D-Lux3 the day B&H had em in stock, and i only managed to get the case a month later. Also, i think Leica is bundling the case in for U.K. customers.

It's a retro case and has been in short supply since they were first announced. However, if you order one from Popflash you will get one probably sooner than anywhere else in the US.
