A Very Happy New Year to everyone in this forum! Hope you will all make great pictures in 2007!

Here is a very Hallmark Moment M8 eye candy for all of you! No profile embedded in this image so I have no idea how it will appear on a Mac. Appears very much eye candy in windows programs that are not color managed.

Feel free to post you Hallmark Moment New Year cards in this thread

Best Wishes,

Furrukh

A neighbor does a fireworks display every New Years Eve. He starts it just after dark so the kids can enjoy and then hosts a party at his home. I am just back from the party, time for supper then a toast at New Years.

This was the 19mm on the DMR.

Great shots Furrukh and Rob. Love the rabbit (didn't know they did tricks) and the singing dog.

A friend of mine a long time ago had a dog that loved to sing to Joan Baez. He really got into it. Was pretty good too.

Happy New Year

Thanks Mitchell!

Well actually the rabbit is not doing a trick. He is just picking up a piece of paper and trying to fling it up in the air to get a better grip on it (or something like that). The piece of paper he is lifting up was blank, I wrote “Happy New Year” on the picture later. On the other hand the dog does like to sing! (if you can call it singing)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of you as well!

The pictures are all delightful. I especially like the obvious effort the pooch is putting into his song!

Robert--I've never once gotten a decent fireworks shot, and here you've done at least two great ones on one night! How long was the exposure on the first one, say? Did you know that was a multi-burst star and plan specifically for it?

Great stuff all round!

It was all just luck of the draw. I had the DMR and 19mm at 16sec and f22. Of about 36 shots I had only two decent ones.
