I hate lens caps. This is a Panasonic lens adapter which fits the D1. It is friction fit to the DL3 using black tape. A Butler Creek flip-open scope cover is then taped onto that. The friction fit is kinda nice because it is like a fusible link in that it will come off w/out harming the camera if you knock it hard enough yet it is solid enough to use as a meatier hold on the camera. The whole thing fits even at full extension/tele of the lens. There is slight cut off at periphery at no mag - just need to remove more length from BC cap. With this, I can leave the camera on and simply flick open the cap w/ my thumb and double tap the exposure button to awaken the system.
