Hot Shoe to PC Adapter

I agree about a radio unit. I am planning on acquiring the new Pocket Wizerd TT5 units.

If you are going to use a wired connex, I would suggest one of the Wein safe units, like the HSHS. This will keep dumped voltages from turning your M9 into fried eggs.

I use a basic Hakuba or Kalt or some such adapter (dates back to my Nikon 8008 days) - but wired to a small flash that I know is "safe." If it ever needs replacement, I'll go the wireless route.

I would get the Wein, but I have no personal experience with it. There are some reports of build quality issues and misfires. I have a Kaiser adapter and the Nikon AS-15. The Kaiser is well-made in Germany. The Nikon is also great; the PC connection is maybe a little less snug.

(When you need the opposite PC-to-hot-shoe adapter, it seems all of them are junk, or they do not insulate the other pins. Just have to use electrical tape, I guess.)
