Let me quote Puts again on definition (Part 4)

And let me state the corollary again: a full 645 with decent lenses will naturally take its place *above* the S2.

IQ wise yes, absolutely. but portability and handling are issues.

very odd, some frames are completely out of focus. interesting though that he does not show the M9 at 1250 iso since he does not consider it a contender (i do agree). the S2 at 1250 iso is very bad, speckled noise (see the model's hair) which is hard to eliminate.

after all it becomes very clear that the D3x is a milestone camera.

The latest generation of noise reduction software has opened up my M9 for high ISO work.

Best,

Bill

And so is tethering on the S2.

I have a P45 Phamiya. compared to the S2 its ergonomics are a joke. yet I can buy a full kit of lenses for it, including cheaper older ones, have even used "junk" lenses like the Hasselblad Zeiss 110 mm/ F2 prtrait lens. And yes, Capture One is good software.

This a situation where Leica has a good product, but no clear advantage.

I have not had any problems using the 110/2 on the S2. The adapter neutralizes any prior weaknesses.
