Advertisement Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Hi jonoslack, Take a look here The Dog and the Sea and the M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted December 29, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2006 Jono, nice light. I like the second one a lot - although I have to say I prefer it with the top cropped out so that the bright section in the top left is removed. The light on the rock and sea looks magical when you can't see the source IMHO. Thanks for sharing - and it's nice to see that someone in the UK is having bright weather. stuny Posted December 29, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2006 Jonathan - These are really quite good, but I prefer the one in "People" section (The Boy, the Dog, The Sea and the M8), which, if this were a Leica One challenge, that is the photo I'd submit. As with that photo, these two also show that the M8 is a serieous camera when in the hands of a talented photographer, and the detail in the second photo, where the surf and foreground rock meet, has astonishing detail. HI Steve - Thanks for this - you're quite right about the bright section - It was a quick and dirty conversion, and I think it warrants more work. As for the bright weather - it lasted about 1/2 hour, and there was an icy biting wind to go with it. Today it's mist and gale and driving drizzle (as only Cornish drizzle can be!).
