Hi Everybody,

Yesterday I took many real world pictures with the sun at the edges of the frame. I was concentrating more on the pictures and less on the banding and I did not see banding in any frame. Today I did a more thorough test and was able to reproduce the banding. It is more difficult to reproduce the banding from the sun than from indoor lamps in my experience; the sweet spot seems to be narrower. In this sequence of pictures I have moved the camera a little bit each time. 50mm Summicron with IR cut filter, DNG, ISO 320, f8, CS3.
