sfage Posted July 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 9, 2006 Sweet! PS: I had a pop-up box telling me that my message was too short. I will say it again: Sweet!
Michael-IIIf Posted July 9, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2006 Excellent. Gérald, you should post this in the People section it would get more viewers. You have a disturbing knack of infusing the simplest scene with melancholia, foreboding, and just a hint of madness. Does everyone in Switzerland see the world like this - or is it just the effect the return from Portugal has had on you? Whichever, you certainly put it to great use providing us with stunning images. regards Michael
gverdon Posted July 9, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted July 9, 2006 Thank you for commenting this little "fin de soirée" joke... ;-) Shane, I liked a lot your Quartet Two... I'll listen more this week. Michael > "You have a disturbing knack of infusing the simplest scene with melancholia, foreboding, and just a hint of madness. Does everyone in Switzerland see the world like this - or is it just the effect the return from Portugal has had on you?" The main question should be: Why have I (we) decided to leave Switzerland for 15 years... ;-) The secondary interrogation could be: "What's a 'simple scene' in a mad world?" Thanks again, Gérald
gverdon Posted July 10, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted July 10, 2006 BTW, it's July 2006 and not June. Gérald
tuna Posted July 10, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 10, 2006 Wonderful image. Very throwback - would fit in well with a recent exhibit at the Met in NY titled "The Perfect Medium: Photography and the Occult". Tuna
gverdon Posted July 10, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted July 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you, Tuna. Well... occultism is not really my cup of tea, but one could imagine an exhibition titled: "The Perfect Medium: Photography and the Cheap Tricks of Occultism". ;-) Gérald
