B&W Posted December 25, 2006 Share #1 Â Posted December 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I did shoot with the SF 24D flash yesterday, and several times the flash did fire two times with each shoot. The result was totally overexposure. Â It did appear with the flash sync: 2nd Curtain and the flash in TTL mode. Â Anybody experienced the same? Advertisement Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Hi B&W, Take a look here M8 with SF 24D. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cbretteville Posted December 25, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted December 25, 2006 The flash fiering twice is what I'm used to with the D2 and second curtain synch, however overexposure isn't an issue with that combo. That said second curtain dosen't really have an effect until the exposure time gets a little on the longe side. Â Gledelig Jul! - Carl
B&W Posted December 25, 2006 Author Share #3  Posted December 25, 2006 Gledelig jul til deg også, Carl  The pictures that was overexposed by the double flash, ended up totally white
jaapv Posted December 25, 2006 Share #4 Â Posted December 25, 2006 The double flash as such is normal. it fires a pre-flash to determine exposure. The overexposure, however, should obviously not happen.
cbretteville Posted December 25, 2006 Share #5 Â Posted December 25, 2006 Jarle, Forgot to ask: did you try the 2nd curtain sync with the SF24D set to 'A' mode rather than TTL/GNC? Â - C
jaapv Posted December 26, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted December 26, 2006 Check your slow sync setting. If you don't limit that, the camera will try and expose with extremely long shutter times. You can change it in menu.
