a.j.z Posted March 31, 2023 Share #19444 Posted March 31, 2023 As Ronald‘s very precise hint apparently was not enough, here is a full picture of the interior. The car is pretty rare (production of around 400). Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! wlaidlaw Posted March 31, 2023 Share #19445 Posted March 31, 2023 One might almost think the designer of this car had to be a Madman. 😀 Wilson

a.j.z Posted April 1, 2023 Share #19447 Posted April 1, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Only around 400 have been produced. btw: I was not asking for the designer (not one of the usual suspects although Ronald and Wilson of course know him 😉), so do not get distracted by this. stuny Posted April 1, 2023 Share #19448 Posted April 1, 2023 I was a about to guess Muntz Jet (early 1950s) from Madman Muntz, but Andreas' last comment makes me doubt that.

wlaidlaw Posted April 1, 2023 Share #19450 Posted April 1, 2023 I believe the 400 number was what Muntz hoped to sell but the true number of manufactured and sold cars is probably less than 200. Still he did a lot better than the original designer Kurtis Kraft did, who may have sold as few as 17 of the Kurtis Sports Cars, from which the Muntz derives. Kurtis Kraft did much better with his midget and Indy cars and the road racing 2 seat version of his Indy roadsters the 500S, which looks like a shark playing a chromed mouth organ. Rona!d Posted April 3, 2023 Share #19456 Posted April 3, 2023 La Salle 350 Convertible Coupe, production started in 1934 but I‘d have to see the bumbers to tell if it is an early one. From 1935 onwards they changed the bumbers design.
wlaidlaw Posted April 3, 2023 Share #19457 Posted April 3, 2023 The song I think is: "Those were the days" Wilson

Rona!d Posted April 3, 2023 Share #19459 Posted April 3, 2023 Stu do you know the year made? Given the "bi-plane" bumbers design it should be a 1934 car (1st year). They changed them in 1935 into a less fragile plain blade design.
Michael Hiles Posted April 3, 2023 Share #19460 Posted April 3, 2023 Actually, a rather sad song: Hair was short and skirts were long.Kate Smith really sold a song.I don't know just what went wrongThose Were the Days
