I would bet that it would almost take the efforts of a full time mechanic, to keep those large parallel opening doors working like they should. I think it is one of the prettiest of Jacques Saoutchik's cars. Given the enormous cost of the bodywork compared with the rolling chassis, I wonder why André Dubonnet opted for the smaller engined, older design H6 rather than the later J12 chassis? The only reason I can think of is that Dubonnet's own design of "knee action" independent front suspension, would not have been able to cope with the very considerable weight of the V12, either the short stroke 9.4L or the long stroke 11.3L.

That was a cracking car. I believe Peter Mullin is building a second collection in Oxfordshire and hopefully, who knows, I'll get to see this in the flesh.
