'52 had a 1-piece windscreen Could be - but most of the 52's that come up in google searches still have the split windscreen: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/deluxe-results-1952-chevrolet-styleline https://www.connorsmotorcar.com/vehicles/250/1952-chevrolet-styleline-deluxe ...and there seem to be replacement windshields that come in two pieces. https://www.ebay.com/b/Auto-Glass-for-1952-Chevrolet-Styleline-Deluxe/33684/bn_7065466860 Again, hot-rodders may have "updated" customized street-rods to an aftermarket one-piece windshield, for the sleaker look. NigelG Posted November 26, 2021 Share #16486 Posted November 26, 2021 Zagato were AFAIK not fans of the Kamm tail, and the riveting detail would give them palpitations… It’s more like the Aston DP212 or 214 but I don’t think it’s an Aston at all…

Rona!d Posted November 27, 2021 Share #16490 Posted November 27, 2021 I would have thought of a "stllm" but like the suggestion to stay away from computers until monday (partly, have to RAW convert some family snaps).

Rona!d Posted November 27, 2021 Share #16492 Posted November 27, 2021 Wilson, is that 4GTZ still in your families stable or already sold? Was a ´61 model and not one of the Sanction II/III cars, right? Was yours made for racing or as a fast and light GT in the old days? They were all differently equipped, custom made. Ronald, We still have the DB4 GTZ but I think it may be due to be sold shortly, as we mostly use the short chassis DB6 Mk1 convertible, with a 4.7L big block 12 plug Crossthwaite and Gardner engine. The Zagato is chassis number 3 of the original production and started build in 1959 unusually as a LHD car. It was the personal car of Dr. Zagato. It was then sold to Richard Williams, the renowned Aston Martin restorer. It was converted to full Le Mans car spec with a 52 gallon fuel tank, uprated suspension etc and raced in historic events for many years. Then it got used for the development mule for the Sanction II cars, with bigger brakes, a 4.2L engine (352 BHP), a 5 speed dog leg ZF gearbox (we still have the 4 speed David Brown box) and improved suspension geometry. That is its current spec. We bought it from Richard some 15+ years ago. Wilson 1

NigelG Posted November 27, 2021 Share #16498 Posted November 27, 2021 I would say John's shot possibly makes the car look somewhat bigger visually than it really is...

Wilson Not a Jaguar, but it is a GT class car, the vintage is correct, and Lister was the man responsible for restyling & making the bodies for the puzzle car(s).
