malcolm Posted May 11, 2011 Share #1081 Posted May 11, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I asked Malcom if he would like to jump in as he was so close with his XK140 guess. I´ll wait until this evening if he´s interested in (next car ready, if not). Ronald - please go ahead. I don't have any interesting car pix at the moment. Malcolm. stuny Posted May 11, 2011 Share #1083 Posted May 11, 2011 Black crackle paint on the dashboard, mechanical trip odometer reset, and sporty accelerator pedal. This suggests 1950s sport scar, probably pretty high end. there is an outlet for windshield washing fluid, but I can’t recall when that began to appear. Perhaps a bit later, such as early '60s. timd. Posted May 11, 2011 Share #1084 Posted May 11, 2011 looks italian to me.
Guest Benqui Posted May 11, 2011 Share #1085 Posted May 11, 2011 Italy sounds also good to me. What about a Lancia Fulvia?
Rona!d Posted May 11, 2011 Share #1086 Posted May 11, 2011 1960´s is correct. But not a Fulvia, although it has the same cubic capacity like the late Fulvia HF and indeed it looks kind of "sporty".
Stefan2010 Posted May 12, 2011 Share #1087 Posted May 12, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) may be an Alfa Romeo GTJ 1300, 1600 or GTV1750?

Rona!d Posted May 12, 2011 Share #1091 Posted May 12, 2011 ok, next guess: 1600 Karmann Ghia? Non-italian and 1600 cc, now we are getting closer. But have you checked dashboard before guessing it? No Karmann Ghia has such one.

Karl-Albert Posted May 12, 2011 Share #1099 Posted May 12, 2011 Sorry, no NSU. How about VW
Rona!d Posted May 12, 2011 Share #1100 Posted May 12, 2011 How about VW 511 I really had to think what a VW 511 is and indeed that was a project name for a model between the Passat and Phaeton around 2003/2004. You might have thought of a VW 411/412 which it is not. But we are getting closer with an air cooled engine
