I'm curious about the fete now.  Thought it might have been Winchcombe show, but I think I'd have remembered seeing this car :)

Stab in dark - Arnott sports.  (Not that I have anything to post).

I’m in Hawling but the show is a joint one with Brockhampton as they have a few more residents…

The signature triangular quarter-panel windows found it for me.

Frazer-Nash Fixed Head Le Mans Coupé - 1953-55/56 - dropped out of the 1956 Le Mans at 100 laps. Just missed a top 10 finish in 1954 (placed 11th) - 13th place 1953.

Did not run at all in the actual 1955 race, that I can see, which may have misled Wilson.

The front end (which we have not seen yet) strongly resembles the roofless F-N Sebring - might have been a dead giveaway. ;)

There are definitely a couple of different rooflines - more domed, or flatter. (prototype vs. the other 8, or vice-versa?)

BTW I am in the middle of a post-event editing marathon, so it may be a couple of days before I can find and post something.

Let's stick with quarter-panel windows.

It certainly looks like something exceptionally fast.

Not sure what qualifies as "exceptionally" fast in this strata of autodom. Appears to top out at around 200 mph ±. Not the fastest this marque has produced.

Don't have a wider view of this part - but perhaps if we pan a bit aft, around Nigel's favorite filler cap....?

Right again. For extra credit, any one want to guess at the version and likely year(s) of production?

This one is in what we in Leica-world would call "user condition." But still pretty and "fast-looking" at a distance.
