Dunk,

If you have anything to post please do. I am lying flat on my back, with a severe flare up of my arthritic degenerative scoliosis, hoping to let it to settle down a bit, after the elephant sized steroid injection my doctor in France gave me this morning.

Hope you are soon recovered Wilson. I can post something later today … but it's likely an easy classic to identify ... so will post a photo of the engine with smudged logo.

William, the Lea Frances Hyper is an interesting 'Coventry' car.

One reason why Coventry became a UK bicycle and thence motor cycle and car manufacturing city, is that its 19th C. watch and clock 'fusee chain making' expertise (££undercut and driven out of business by cheaper Swiss and American imports) lent itself to the manufacture of bicycle chains.

Wilson, I am sorry to hear about your scoliosis.  Is there nothing better that can be done?  One of my daughters had mild scoliosis whereby two fine stainless steel rods were attached to her upper spine.  She is still able to touch her toes.  Back problems are exhausting; I "popped" a disc as a competitive rower and have suffered from nerve pinching ever since.  Trust you recover soon and well.

PS  The latest picture is of an early fifties Ferrari, but it would take an expert to identify the model.

I was curious about the perspex on the bonnet so ask the owner who advised it's a 'fly screen' … which I'd not seen on the bonnet of other cars; this car has Mille Miglia history

… apart from its Mille Miglia history the owner has no hesitation in using the car for shopping trips … it's a very versatile machine.
