Ivan Goriup Posted March 24, 2023 Share #19402 Â Posted March 24, 2023 My final guess at this thing is that it may be an OPEL. JZG
stuny Posted March 24, 2023 Share #19403  Posted March 24, 2023 I made an error. It was a Czech company. If that correction doesn't do it, I'll add some more facts about the car and the company.
wlaidlaw Posted March 24, 2023 Share #19404  Posted March 24, 2023 I thought it was a 1936 Hansa 1100 (4cyl) or 1700 (6cyl) Cabriolet. The one illustrated in Georgano even has the identical colours to the mystery car. Hansa later became Borgward. Hansa - Hanseatic League. Wilson
stuny Posted March 24, 2023 Share #19405  Posted March 24, 2023 Interesting detail, which we always get from you, but no, not Hansa. Hansa was a German firm, and the mystery car is Czech, as mentioned in post 19457 above.

Rona!d Posted March 24, 2023 Share #19407  Posted March 24, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) As Wilson mentioned, a Hansa came close designwise but was in another league. As my grandpa had some Hansa cabriolets in the 1920s and 1930s/40s I knew it couldn´t be one.
