Hektor has posted one here www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/119687-name-this-car/?p=3489216   I am perfectly happy to go along with. Busy packing up for my annual move down to France.

… and the lady's 'bobby socks' suggest she's American … late 40s early 50s

The car is definitely pre-war German, as are the two people.  Dr. Wolff was taking advertising shots for an American oil company.  There is another photograph of the car on page 60 in Automobile in den 30er Jahren, a compilation of Wolff's car photographs.  Disappointingly the caption mentions the photographic negative number in the Bildarchiv der Wolff & Tritschler, not the car type.

Since it has been so long since anyone has added to it, who would like to post the next mystery car?

I regret I have nothing to post until I go to my next classic car meeting on the 29th of April. I am reasonably confident of my ID of Hektor's mystery car as an Audi Front UW 225, as I cannot think of any other upmarket (from the dash layout it cannot be a cheap car) German cars of that era, which are front wheel drive. The gearchange coming out of the dashboard à la Citroen Traction Avant, makes it fairly certain it is FWD, with the transaxle in front of the engine.

'Fraid I don't have any at present.

Should have been at Prescott Bike Festival tomorrow, marshalling the hill, but the event has had to be postponed as the ground is more like a swamp...

Now waiting for the last weekend of  April for the first competition meeting.

Maybe it is a Audi Front UW 225:

After the 29th is pretty long to wait.  Anyone else want to step it?  If not, I have some.

If there are no objections, allow me to take a crack at it with these three images. The timing was perfect, since I just finished setting up my computer in our new home in Eagle and wanted to make sure everything's working and that I'm connected.
