William,

Not sure about the é at the end of the word. The Triumph dealer was called Doves of Wimbledon. I remember delivering a Lawrencetune/Laystall 2.2L engine (came out of a rolled and written off Morgan +4) to Doves in the late 1960's to install in one of their customer's GTR4A cars. Doves were only the marketing agents, the cars were actually designed and built by Harrington's of Hove, better known for their Sunbeam Alpine and Tiger fastback conversions. I personally prefer the to my eyes, prettier Swallow Doretti cars, done on TR2 mechanicals. Supposedly the contract builder, Tube Industries, stopped making them after pressure from Jaguar.

Your turn.

From TR Drivers .com

"Now to get off on the right foot. The name of this particular TR variant has an accent over the 'e' so it is actually pronounced 'Dovey' but no one ever does. A bit like that posh French soap which fills the bathroom with lather at the drop of a hat or maybe even a drop of water!"

I will try to post something new tomorrow. I am going to a Classic Car Show here on Sunday and the theme will be Italian Cars. If I cannot get something tomorrow, I should have some nice ones by next Monday.

Sorry about the delay. I did not attend the RIAC Classic Car Show yesterday because of other distractions such as the Westlicht Auction and the Ireland v Scotland rugby match. I did manage to get there today and there were a lot of nice cars and some very rare ones. We will start with this easy one as I just want to show the whole of the magnificent car behind this detail.

Reminds me a bit to my Triumph GT6  Mark IV (Poor Man´s E-Type) in British Racing Green, i was driven, when i have been a young boy  :)

Not British, but Italian. Wilson is quite close to getting it right.

Perhaps the "birdcage," which I think is Tipo 61.

No. The 'Birdcage' was later than this one. As a young fellow I used to be fascinated listening to commentary on the radio about races involving 'birdcages' and 'breadvans'. The mind boggled. Wilson was very close yesterday. It is a Maserati with an S in its title. I just need the correct number for it.

Correct Stuart. It took a while, but I hope you will agree that the car was worth the wait.

Will -

One of the reasons I kept trying was I wanted to see the full photo, and yes, it's most lovely.

Let's try this one, which I suspect will be easier:
