Advertisement Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Hi steed, Take a look here Name this car..... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted May 14, 2012 Share #3422 Posted May 14, 2012 One of my all-time favorites, and the same model with which Pete Taylor started this thread. The Ford GT 40.
steed Posted May 14, 2012 Share #3423 Posted May 14, 2012 Just as fast as I expected! This is Bob Bondurant's personal GT40. It has the Len Bailey nose rather than the more crude early 1965 (Daytona) version that I like, but is still gorgeous. To you! Welcome, dear visitor! Rona!d Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3430 Posted May 16, 2012 Could be a classic firefighter vehicle or a small truck, maybe both.
steed Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3431 Posted May 16, 2012 It is a truck...warmer...
stuny Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3432 Posted May 16, 2012 I was first thinking (after the muscle car error) that it might be a Dodge pickup truck with "Ram Air" induction through the scoop. The name Power Stroke V8 is recently and currently the name of a Ford truck Diesel engine, but I don;t think they used that name in pre-muscle car times. No idea. Rona!d Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3433 Posted May 16, 2012 (edited) Yes, a Ford name used today, but maybe there´s a modern 8 cyl. in an older truck? I´m by far not deep enough into such US vehicles to name a model without some research Edited May 16, 2012 by Rona|d
steed Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3434 Posted May 16, 2012 Not a current model. In an earlier post, I noted that it predates the muscle car era. It is not a Dodge or a Chevrolet......
steed Posted May 16, 2012 Share #3435 Posted May 16, 2012 Let's declare Ronald as the winner of this round, handicapping appropriately for difficulty. The images is of a mid 1950's Ford truck used for heavy hauling. Here it is in all its glory. John W Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted May 17, 2012 Share #3436 Posted May 17, 2012 I prefer the other Ford in the shot.
Rona!d Posted May 19, 2012 Share #3437 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Too much honor, steed, I just gave the "direction". That thing looks heavily customized, low rider and it´s front lip maybe made of glass fibre or such? To be honest I´m deep into garden, wood and boat work, so not much time for searching in my archive for another car shot befor sunday, so I give a FREE TICKET for ANYBODY ELSE who wants to jump in with a picture of his choice. p.s. That GT40-alike thing in the background looks like having fun, even in case it´s not original. Is it a modern interpretation?
