Guest guy_mancuso Posted December 28, 2006 Share #64 Â Posted December 28, 2006 Yes the church played a major role in 9/11 and no damage to it from the collapse of the buildings. Hope the images i shot are good was not working it to hard and the light was bad but it was a week of family more than my work

scanner Posted December 28, 2006 Author Share #66 Â Posted December 28, 2006 Today I had a photographer here with the D 200 from Nikon. He had an manual and with that manual we tried to understand all of the buttons. What am I glad with the DMR and I have played with the M8. They are understandible without a manual, so tremendous friendly are both leica's. The D 200 needs days of study and I have the feeling that this camera has too many buttons and functions that we don't need. The DMR has what he need to have, no more. After this experience I am so happy with it !!! Rob
macusque Posted December 28, 2006 Share #67 Â Posted December 28, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just left the 280 to my dealer, who will send it to Solms for a complete revision. Â Yesterday I made a brief test against the 300/4L IS on the 1Ds, same subject and distance, 1/500 sec f/4 putting the lens on a support, no IS. Wide open they give more or less the same detail, maybe the 280 has a slight edge, but the 280/DMR combo should be visibly better than the 300/1Ds combo because of the higher magnification. The 1Ds has only about 5% more linear resolution, not enough to compensate for the 1.37x cropping factor of the DMR. Â Robert (robsteve) told me that he compared his 105-280 to a Canon 300/4L (non-IS, an even better performer than the IS version) and the Canon seemed out of focus... Â Can't believe my 280 Apo is actually slightly worse than the 300/4 IS..
