There's hope for us digital M users as it's been announced that the ipad camera connection kit, $29, supports jpg and standard RAW files. I'm sure I'm not alone in Hoping to use the ipad to view photos in good quality 'on location'.

iPad is a product looking for a market.

People said this about phones that you could use walking around on the street - I mean, WHY would anyone wanna do that??

Not sure why all these posts about lenses, computers and everything else now get posted in the M9 forum though? :confused:

I will wait for the second generation of iPad with 4G connection speed, > or at least 120GB storage space and (hopefully) an SD card slot. I hope by the end of the year :D.

Apple never does that. I doubt you'll ever see an SD slot, as that would kill their ability to sell higher-capacity models at higher prices. They also rarely update more frequently than once a year. Expect a 4G iPad in 2011 if the carriers actually get any real 4G deployed. I think its more likely in 2012.

Imagine the usefulness of it when you are out and about, using it as a notepad. This thing has a lot of potential. Jaap's can't be preordered as he still lives in the Netherlands no? Otherwise he has to explain us what is his connection with Jobs :D

Not me' date=' although I like my iPhone and Mac.[/quote]

iPhone = iPadmini

Macbook pro = iPadmaxi

Might as well complete the ifamily. The ability to recline on a sofa and read pdfs or magazines in colour is worth the price of admission to me. Being untethered from my desk (even though I use a MB pro hooked to a Del 30" monitor) will be hugely liberating.

1. Yes, it does; and, I'll be picking up my reserved 64 GB WiFi iPad on 03 April 2010, at my local Apple Store.

2. Around the end of April 2010, the device seen at the link below should also be available; and, I'll purchase one, for ocassional use with my iPad, as well:

There are plenty of programs that make the iphone OS an ftp server. You can then put a file in it either using wifi or using usb.

The camera connection kit that is expected will either be an SD card reader adaptor or a direct usb to camera connector.

You can transfer files on an iphone as we speak. the problem is, will the iphone manage to read the raw files?
