robsteve Posted December 18, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) With all the fuss about the M8 lately, I had to go home and get my DMR when I saw what a neighbor was wearing at his Christmas Party. Shot with the 18mm and the sf-20 with a sf-fil diffuser.
Advertisement Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Hi robsteve, Take a look here M8 colour. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
imported_peter_m Posted December 18, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 18, 2006 Did your DMR hang out with that M8 for to long Peter
elansprint72 Posted December 18, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 18, 2006 Rob- excellent! But what colour would the jacket be IF you used an M8? Can it actually shoot magenta? Cheers, Pete.
stuny Posted December 18, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2006 Rob - We DO need to remind people that the DMR is as good as it is. Very nice.

robsteve Posted December 18, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted December 18, 2006 The colours are spot on, everything from his Jacket to the kids artwork on the wall. BTW, there is a 19mm like I used on Ebay (item 120066157010) now at a great price for the Buy it Now. Guy Mancuso is selling his 19mm since he will be doing the wide work on the M8. bnelson Posted December 18, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 18, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been a little out of the loop and got behind the order line for the M8, so I'm still using my DMR and the output is great. I think I'm going to sit and wait on the resolution on the M8. I notice guy and some of the old regulars have sold a lot of R9/DMR lenses. I for one am still holding out and not selling mine. Bill Guy is selectively selling the DMR stuff that overlaps his new M8 equipment. Nobody thinks the M8 is going to replace an DSLR when it comes to extreme telephoto or macro. Jamie Roberts Posted December 18, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 18, 2006 Heck, you'll get my 19R out of my cold, dead, hands--that's a fabulous lens! FWIW, I'm not selling any of my R lenses, thanks. I might even pick up a 15 when people start dumping them (just kidding--no-one will dump the 15R!!)
gogopix Posted December 18, 2006 Share #10 Posted December 18, 2006 Don't ignore using the R 15mm on the M8. It is really easy to focus and well balanced.
