lct Posted March 24, 2017 Share #41 Posted March 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Still using inexpensive 40.5mm "Rocolax" UV/IR filters on my M-Rokkor lenses and they work quite well. They have no filter thread to screw another filter or a screw-in hood into them though. Protection vs flare could be better also but there is no free lunch. JC331 Posted March 26, 2017 Share #42 Posted March 26, 2017 (edited) Rocolax is the brand I was referring to, but a correction to my earlier post - I've just compared the Rocolax filter to my B+W one again and the metered exposure is the same, when I first tried the Rocolax I could have sworn it was causing the M8 to drop the shutter speed indicating it was reducing the light getting to the sensor, but I was obviously mistaken or had probably pointed the camera at an area with a slightly different light level. tobey bilek Posted March 27, 2017 Share #43 Posted March 27, 2017 #2 & 3 is a decent process. Also look straight through and it will appear clear, as the angle increases, it takes on a cyan cast.
