M8 or R9-DMR which one outperforms the other on image quality?

Kamil same lens on both camera's. Well not having done this YET since i have both , I would say pretty equal. they both have relatively the same sensor. the M8 will be better with noise obviously. The real question is given there different lenses in a head to head comparision. Like i did with the DMR vs the 1dsMKII, well that is a comparision i have yet to do . Waiting for things to setle on the M8 first than i will do that but if asked me to make a call on that today before doing it and just going by what i am seeing. Hmmm hope you have a M8 on order. :D

Guy,

After recalling my memory and evaluating the images I have seen so far at the forum and never caring about the temporary issues of M8, what I remember is some unbelievably high resolution images of M8 and some very very perfect images from R9. R9 images seemed of imperially quality and ultimately mature to me. This of course may be coincidental. If one day you may find time to make comparisons and post, I will follow every minute of it.

Sincere thanks for your continuous contributions to the forum which makes it a grand pleasure to follow.

Oh i agree the DMR is a mature product and spits out perfect color. The M8 is still a work in progress there on the color and the balancing issues. the new ACR 3.6 seems to be much better someone profiled the IR filters it seems to me and I have lost that yellow / cyan color cast that was driving me nuts. But in terms on micro detail and sharpness , i am thinking the M8 has it over the DMR. The DMR files are more subtle in texture and the M8 right now is a bit harsh. there still needs to be work done on the M8 . Reason I have yet to jump at a comparision or side by side is just giving the M8 a chance to get a little more muture but in other area's besides the color , the M8 is a winner. How we fix the color and get it were we want it may take a little time but it certainly has the potential to be great and that is what is making me very happy with it.
