Teddyp Posted December 15, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Panasonic offers a "fix" to improve the RAW use in the filmware. Is this something that was corrected with the Digilux 3 before they started shipping? They list: Improvements Makes it possible to shoot while RAW photo data is being saved. Improves focusing performance when shooting low-contrast subjects. Improves white balance and colors when shooting in high-color-temperature or low-color-temperature lighting. Boosts the precision of the automatic exposure function when a lens that is brighter than an F2.0 lens is used. Makes the A (aperture priority) mode available when the OM lens and OM lens adaptor are in use. I love the L1 and thoughtabout getting the D3, but the warranty and software as not worth the extra $500 to me, since I wiill always shoot in RAW. I was interested if this fix needed to be made to the D3? I was looking to get the 25mm f1.4 prime lens when it comes out. Does anyone know the timing Leica has for this release? Thanks in advance.
