Sorry about your father. I found your gallery "Dad's place" to be the one that touched me most. It is something I can easily identify with. hammam Posted December 26, 2006 Share #24 Â Posted December 26, 2006 And not a word about his photography? This guy is a fantastic photographer. And a poet. Keep them coming, Im. etienne_werner Posted December 26, 2006 Share #25 Â Posted December 26, 2006 As a photojournalist I am supposed to observe and record events as they unfold. I am not allowed to have any influence on my subject matter. My personal feelings should not have any bairing on my pictures. Imant, i believe, is an artist who "creats" using all his senses to give the viewer a feeling, mood or maybe a message. This, I believe, he does very well. Eventhough I come from a very different background in photography, I find his work very stimulating, though admittedly I have to raise all the sails in order to keep up with him. Kind rgds, Etienne

Guest stnami Posted December 27, 2006 Share #34  Posted December 27, 2006 Thanks Etienne, Olivier and others.. it's a lot of fun putting the site up,worikng on a new one with multi media stuff on it should be ready in a month or so, dreamweaver is time consuming I finally got my grubby hands on an ‘ordinary cameras... great lenses’ over a extended period. Well …..It is a lot of hard work, filters a host of thinking about will it do this n that etc .....harder to use than my old M4 (went to a decent home) which was a mess for me to live with ......... a lot harder than the dead CL. I’ll stick to the easy cameras…… most of the shots on my gallery are done on a film- Leica Z2X (died of natural causes now a XA) or the D2 set at f5.6 and spot metering and now the GRD-f5.6 and snap. ……………………simple stuff point and shoot, if you can’t get a shot move on with the next idea….. ………… yea yea yea I know I will probably suss out Mick and buy a hot, crappy fuji…nikon(no)…..oly( probably not)……pentax etc as long as it is easy to use..... waiting for that digital full frame Leica point and shoot ………. I wonder how Mick’s going with that new flame of his, the hairdresser in that short skirt from up at Bulladella way…..
