Am I the only one, or do others find Imants' threads a tad difficult to follow? ;)

My English is not good enough to comprehend all his posts i'm afraid but Imant's humour reminds me of Phil Kneen's (aka pkn or plk) sometimes. Any news from him?

I think the secret is not to try. Just think of him as a window into a surrealist world, where understanding is a contradiction in terms, because it is essentially a realist concept.?

Very well put. That's exactly how I see it but could have never put it into words so succintly. It is also reflected in his work. That's not meant to be a putdown or negative comment, just a statement of fact "as I see it".

I hear that “ Trout” is amazing on paper

they have a toxic look,

juxtaposing the fearful

But as strange as Imants' world seems at first glance, when he responds to a remark you make he can be quite clear and on-target. He's all there, maybe so much there that you and I often have a hard time following.

And I always thought that language and writing were there to allow others to understand and know , what was being thought about by the author.

Imants - if you do have something worthwhile to say [ which you probably have ] why not come out and say it as it is - so we can all share in your vision ?
