Guest mc_k Posted February 10, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hektor 28 apparently takes an 36mm push-on or 34mm screw-in. I would like to have a 34mm-to-39mm step-up ring made. Does the lens have the usual 34mm threading, or is there something special about it? Thanks

doubice Posted February 10, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2010 Hektor 28 apparently takes an 36mm push-on or 34mm screw-in. I would like to have a 34mm-to-39mm step-up ring made. Does the lens have the usual 34mm threading, or is there something special about it? Thanks My recommendation would be to look for a SOOGZ / 13154 adapter. It will clamp onto A36 mounts and will accept E39 filters. Best, Jan
Guest mc_k Posted February 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 10, 2010 thanks, I would still prefer to use the threading...it's easy enough to have an adapter ring made.
doubice Posted February 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2010 As per my B+W 'Filter Reference Bible' published for dealer use during the 1970's, Leitz used 34 thread with x 0.5mm pitch (34 x 0.5mm). However - word of caution: the refence book lists all A36 lenses that accept 34mm filters (Summar 2/50, Elmar 4/90mm, old Hektor 4.5/135mm) but, next to the listing for the 28mm Hektor it only lists the A36 filter mount. The 34mm thread option is not mentioned, as it is with the above lenses. I did check my 28mm Hektor however, and it indeed has a thread that may well be 34mm.
