Advertisement Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Hi jmr, Take a look here Bridge and Pines. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicamann Posted December 12, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 12, 2006 Nice shot.. B&W film would have "held out" your highlights and given you more latitude to play with..thats my only grip about digital when it comes to intense light. Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann
ECliffordSmith Posted December 12, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 12, 2006 John, Another nice B&W image from you. The contrast is superb. That is a nice part of the world you live in too!
stuny Posted December 12, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 12, 2006 John - Terrific contrasts on two levels: tones and vertical vs. horizontal portions of the shot. Lovely.
jmr Posted December 12, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted December 12, 2006 Guys, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. I agree with you John, film would have done a better job with the extreme delta between the levels in the shot. As it was I'd loaded the C-Lux with silicon that morning - what can you do! Ed, yes indeed, the Peak District is a nice place to live - I count myself lucky on an almost daily basis. Stuart, thanks for the considered input - as always.
