I ordered this Chiyoda Kogoku Super Rokkor 50mm F1.8 for my Leica M5.....but put it on my M8 earlier and took some pics. One hell of a lens! Perfect rangefinder coupling. Will post some actual photos taken with it soon......but here's a photo of this very interesting vintage lens:

Isn't this the pre Minolta name company?

Looking forward, to see what the images will look like!

 

correct! pre-Minolta! according to the info I've found this lens dates back to the mid-1950s. it is LTM mount.

I, by suprise had the luck to buy a Leica Summicron 50MM F2 RIGID, from year 1962, and I am using it since few days on my M8..

i have REALLY been enjoying shooting with the Chiyoda Kogaku Super Rokkor 50mm F1.8. I really lovely lens to use. I originally bought it for the M5 to bide some time before buying a 50mm Summilux for the M5----but honestly it is so good i'm not sure I even want a vintage Summilux any more.
