I don't think it is too heavy (certainly no more than any large DSLR) and it has a very well built feel, great viewfinder and I was surprised at how well the controls work. Rather than trying to do it 'their way', I think Leica have conceded that millions of Nikon and Canon owners must know a thing or two about how controls should work. Difficult to have any view on image quality with only a rear LCD screen to view. That said, I could not for the life of me work out how to pan a zoomed shot on the LCD. LouisB That, my friend, is one of those things of which they say 'you get used to it eventually'... it can of course be done but it isn't intuitively obvious how and is one of the very few interface issues that still makes pause for a microsecond...
