ijporter Posted December 9, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) On my first morning in London, I walked into Westminster from Highbury. As I walked through Islington, I met this lovely old lady packing up a small church stall. She was a delightful person and allowed me to take a 'snap'. Advertisement Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Hi ijporter, Take a look here Islington Angel. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
brunom Posted December 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 9, 2006 Ian On your walk did you pass by the North 1 centre[ just down the road at the Angel Islington], from St Mary's church were you took your picture ? At the main entrance in Liverpool Rd there is a large sculture that is known [locally] as the Angel of Islington worth photographing if you get a chance. You'll need a very wide angle lens. ijporter Posted December 10, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 10, 2006 Hi Bruno, I'm sorry to say that I didn't see the sculpture, but would have been quite happy to have gone to have a look if I had known about it - next time perhaps! With best wishes, Ian
