Ben -

I've been very happy using an EVF. This - as you know, allows me to use the 'R' Vario zooms on the 'M' as well, allowing me to carry various focal lengths in one lens instead of carrying 2-3 lenses particularly when I travel.....

Hope you're keeping well.

I don’t know whether this counts, as it was a fellow photog taking the picture, but, well.

T’was fun, though. Should you read German, here’s the piece that came out of my 22h trip to Cologne: AUSZEICHNUNG - Unterwegs zum Online Award - Thurgaukultur.ch

Yours truly after crashing my bicycle while crossing broken railroad tracks. My brand new M9 was destroyed, then restored to better-than-new by Leica in New Jersey at my expense. I am happy!

I hope you are soon fully recovered from your injuries. Sorry to hear your M9 was destroyed in the accident and that you had to pay for the restoration. In the UK we are fortunate in being offered a 12 month Leica Passport with new Leica camera purchases which includes accidental damage cover. My X1 suffered damage by a third party and was repaired free of charge by Leica Solms.

Best wishes

Most unfortunate!

I hope your doctor has done as good a repair job as Leica did.

I am a very lucky person. I heal quickly. My physician says it is only skin-deep, "Your guts, for example, are a worry." I responded, "And my liver?", to which he answered, "You are a remarkable study - tests show the liver of a teenager." I told him I leave it at home when I go out. My doctor and I get along well, so far. Keep in mind he is an oncologist. :(

After my winning draw ticket was pulled out of the hat at The Leica Society AGM, Stratford-Upon-Avon 13 April 2014 I was presented with the prize 'Leica C' camera by TLS Chairman Brian Oliver. The camera was very kindly donated to The Leica Society by Leica Mayfair.

That's me on the LHS using an Olympus camera but it was fitted with a Leica Panasonic 14-150mm lens.

Photo taken by Leica Camera Forum and TLS member Bill Allsopp and posted here with his permission.

Best wishes
