mhulbert Posted December 2, 2006 Share #1 Â Posted December 2, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Okay, I have a new D-Lux 3 and a Mac with Photoshop Elements 3 and the 3.6 ACR update, but I cannot get my RAW files into photoshop. If I use browse I get this dialog box asking me to state the size of the file and describe it, which I can't figure out how to get past. What do I do folks? Â I also have the beta lightbox and do seem to be able to get the RAW files into that. iPhoto, however, does not appear to support the D-Lux 3. Â Thanks in Advance
Advertisement Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Hi mhulbert, Take a look here Dumb Newbie Question re D-Lux, Mac & RAW. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Andydg Posted December 2, 2006 Share #2  Posted December 2, 2006 You are correct, that OS X currently does not support the D-Lux 3 raw files. I'm hoping that they will soon, as I use Aperture and the files appear blank (unsupported format). I also have CS 2 and they do appear properly.  When you installed the 3.6 update, did you follow Adobe's instructions?  To install with Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0: 1. Exit Photoshop Elements. 2. Open the Finder. 3. Navigate to: (Please read directory carefully)  Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 3/Plug-Ins/File Formats  4. Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back. 5. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 3. 6. Launch Photoshop Elements.  If it doesn't work the first time, retry it. In the past I've had to install it more than once for it to finally work.  Andy
John Maio Posted December 3, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted December 3, 2006 Interesting. My Digilux-3 came with Photoshop Elements 4.0, not that I use it. I have PSCS2 and have no problems reading the .RAW files. Â Both Phase One (C1) and Apple say they will support the Dixilux-3 "soon".
mhulbert Posted December 3, 2006 Author Share #4 Â Posted December 3, 2006 Thanks. Yeah, I followed the instructions to the letter, a couple of times, but no luck. Hmmm . . .

If Andy's info on installing haven't done the trick - talk to your leica dealer and get them to sort for you.  Malcolm
