SHEN Posted November 30, 2009 Share #1 Â Posted November 30, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am picking up my M9 tomorrow morning :rolleyes:and was wondering what is the state of the battery out of the box - is there any charge - is there enough to test the camera or does it need to be fully charged up before use. danyves Posted November 30, 2009 Share #2 Â Posted November 30, 2009 What about putting the battery in the M9 and check status on screen ?

In fact the delay is not too bad since the M9 will operate adequately on a part-charged (80%) battery= 2hours.
scott kirkpatrick Posted November 30, 2009 Share #4 Â Posted November 30, 2009 I gave the battery that came with my M9 an hour and that wasn't enough. So I switched to an already charged battery while completing the charge of the new battery. The manual says that it will take several discharge/charge cycles before the battery offers its full capacity. Â scott
250swb Posted November 30, 2009 Share #5 Â Posted November 30, 2009 As you will need to format your SD card in the camera before firing away it may be a good idea to use a fully charged battery, but they do have some charge in 'out of the box'.
