photophile Posted November 25, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8, 28 CV ultron f2. In NYC and stopped by the American Girl Place at the request of my daughter. We had never been ...and will never return. While the Salvation Army rings the bells just outside the doors of this place to help the needy, and the homeless are making their way along the cold streets - some people pay up to $50 dollars to have their children's dolls' hair "done". It is a stark reminder that we need to take stock of things for which we need to be truly thankful - and to do our part for those less fortunate. As owner's of the most expensive brand of cameras on the market - we should all take pause and a small lesson. I'm not preaching - just reminded of what counts in life.. by seeing the dolls. Happy and meaningful Thanksgiving to all.

allamande Posted November 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 26, 2009 Coos, Excellent image. Creepy too, taken with your narrative. It gets even more hopeless when you consider that this is the tip of the iceberg. Happy Thanksgiving. Ece
stuny Posted November 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 26, 2009 Coos - Excellent point, with which I agree, excellent shot, and somehow creepy. You were 200 miles closer to my office than usual (a half dozen blocks from the photo location). Next time please let me know you're in town.
